Street art project at HYBY

KidAcne starts his work at HYBY

So KidAcne is offered a section of wall at the yard. He says ‘I’ll take the lot’. He’s now fast at work on the biggest piece of street art graffiti he’s ever done. This is anticipation of his exhibition which starts on July1st at Elektric Sheep.

They are documenting the painting session on a dedicated website: www.thehoultsyardproject.co.uk

I’m told there are more exciting graffiti artists in store. Ready walls, Prefab77 guidance and Lazarides Gallery just a few yards from here. Watch the walls!

HYBY street art project set to go global

You heard it here first. But, shhh! This is an underground project run by those anonymous artists who operate in the city streets – changing the scene, commenting on issues and using walls to make their message.

One thing’s for sure – these guys act quickly. We like that at Hoults Yard because we do too.

It’s not fully defined, but already we have a clamour from international street art legends to come to Byker on a recce and to make their mark. Watch our walls.

And, watch this space:
